Freexmltv 3.9

Possibly the last version - if no bugs crept in....

This version is really intended to be called version 4 - packaged with the GUI Configurator installtion routine, but am releasing it now as version 3.9.

It does one thing - fixes up the HD1 and HD2 switch. I introduced a bug in HD procession a couple of versions ago - but fixed now...

Comments?

No installer as yet - just copy this exe over the old one installed - all switches remain as before!

Enjoy.

Re: Freexmltv 3.9

Nice job Impact,

Dropped it on top of the old 3.0 version in the C:\WINDOWS\ehome\BladeRunnerPro\FreeXMLTV directory
Ran BladeRunnerPro
Went to MCE Settings -> TV -> Guide -> Get Latest Guide Listings

And, hey presto...
Guide is populated with the new data.

Worked first time for me.

Patricio

Re: Freexmltv 3.9

Good to hear guys... All I need to do is ensure that anthony_lam can get over his problem, and I will package it all together properly as an installer and release it as ver 4.0 - the last and final version of freexmltv from me.

Its been good fun, but at times just too damn confronting for some - plus I want the time back to do other things now....

But glad to know the configyrator works for others.... I meant to add a picture of the screen - so here it is...

Re: Freexmltv 3.9

Hey Impact,

Any chance of adding some kind of error failure notification?

EG. I run the EPG download each night on my server, if something goes wrong then Freexmltv could execute a custom command, which could send me a notification or perhaps even an e-mail.

Re: Freexmltv 3.9

Hey Impact,

checked out the strings in the HTTP for the debug mode and found that the date on my PC is set incorrectly. so that ought cause a bit of drama.

i am posting this to everyone on purpose as punishment for my stupidity.

lol

Re: Freexmltv 3.9

No stupidity there mate.... we are all just glad to know that its working for you! MCE without an EPG is like..... ummm...... there really is no comparison, you just cant live without one!

For what its worth, the new configurator should identify your date time region stuff was not setup correctly - well at least in theory - and hopefully save people some trouble in the future ?

Enjoy the full experience now that you can find out whats on tv tonight!
