FreeXMLTV extra data into guide (Rpt,CC,WS,HD)

I noticed when looking at the FreeXMLTV info in MCE More Programs that more data like whether it is a repeat (R or Rpt) Close Captioning (CC) Widescreen (WS) and most important if is in High Definition (HD) are shown for shows but this is not seen in the MCE guide data.

Anyway to get this Data shown and used (in case of Repeat) by MCE?

Hi-

Not sure what guide solution you are using (BRP/Quickguide/Ice/other) - but this metadata is definitely supported by MCE2005 if its supplied (there are recognized/typed attributes for each of these features above) .

It may be case that when your MCE EPG data file is generated - it is not correctly reading these from the XMLTV file (or not supporting them at all in your guide solution). A couple of these features like HD and widescreen are also only part of the XMLTV v2 specs - not v1 - so its possible the solution is not looking for this info at all.

Re: FreeXMLTV extra data into guide (Rpt,CC,WS,HD)

gain - the problem is the site the grabber scrapes from and since freexmltv scrapes data from ninemsn that information is not provided by them.

ur status page i believe comes from ebroadcast http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/tv/mag/TVhighlights.html which display that info.

the guide data is only ever as good as the site it retrieves it from.

so unless the site provides it u aint going to get it
