channelinfo...what thu...!

I have been plugging away for days trying to get the guide running with BRP and FreeXMLTV3.1...I thought I was reasonably savy, but I cannot wor this out...
When it comes time to add listings to channels, the channel information in the second screen does not correspond with the channelinof.xml file in the quickquide dir...
I have tried deleting and editing channels in the channelinfo file then going back into MCE and updating the guide listings, but the edited channelinfo file is not reflected...
Where is MCE getting this channel info from in the add listing section..?
I dont want expanded channel description in my guide just simple names like Seven, Nine-HD etc. Thus I need to edit the channel info file..
Any help would be appreciated..cause I've lost the remaining 3 hairs off my head..

Re: channelinfo...what thu...!

Finally solved this problem......
Added this line to the epg.bat
C:\WINDOWS\ehome\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData\listing2 .xml
and removed the call to BRP
After running FreeXML, I then manuall ran BRP, updated the guide listings.. and THEN the changes in my channelinfo file were reflected in MCE..
maybe it was just a case of running throught the whole process again..Although I have done that a number of times..
Anyway as of now I have a complete SD and HD guide listing, and all is well...
