Angry BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

I've just done the upgrade of my PC to latest version of MCE and also upgraded to Bladerunner Pro v3 & FreeXMLTv v3.1 but while MCE is working well I'm afraid the Guide is not. Everything appears to work OK when the EPG batch file is run. The Data directory seems to end up with all the appropriate guide data file and no errors are reported. But when I access the Guide in MCE there is "No data available" for any channel. I have been been through the process of "Setting Up Guide Listing" several times but still nothing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

have u created the channelinfo.xml file and/or assigned guide listings to channels.

most nearly always forget either 1 of these steps.

Re: BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

have you created the channelinfo.xml file? I made this mistake. Edit bat file and add CHANNELINFO. Then put the resulting file in the quickguide directory

Re: BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

Wow. Talk about fast responses. Yes, I have a ChannelInfo file in the Quickguide directory. And I have tried to Add Listings to Channels. When I attempt to assign listings to a channel there is only one option offered - "Show no listings for this channel." Am I missing something?

Re: BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

I had same problem, I made the channelinfo file (I did not put it into the quickguide folder at the right time). I found I just had to run freexmltv again and then it worked!
Worth a try I think.

Re: BRP v3 & FreeXMLTV v3.1 problem

Success!!! Thanks for the advice. The Channelinfo file in my Quickguide directory was more or less empty. I inserted the channelinfo parameter in the Epg batch file to create a new Channelinfo file, then moved it over to the Quickguide directory and re-ran the batch file. Then I went through the usual steps in MCE to set up the Guide. Now my family is talking to me again as they have the Guide back. Thanks again.
