BRP v3 and FreeXMLTV v3 How-to?

I have been using the older version of Bladerunner pro that just gets the Show name and a few words from the descryption, it has been working perfectly, I now have just built a new MCE box and Im trying to work out how I install this new guide system

I have bumbled around searching but I cant find a clear and presice howto anywhere, is it posible to get a stickie for BRP and just update that as the program gets updated

I have tried to do everything that feexmltv says in the readme file but in MCE there are no listings to add, freexmltv is downloading the guide data and creating the Listing2.xml then it opens BRP v3 and does its little thing without any errors, but when I try to add Listings to channels theres nothing there but "add no listing for this channel"

It's definately on it's way. Falcc, one of the members here, has written a document for the Setup of BRPv3, and FreeXMLTV 2.0. Unfortunately, his PC is being repaired ATM, so he's getting to the updated doco for FreeXMLTV 3.0 (now 3.1)...

http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...than-ever.html

This is a link to the release of Version 3 of FreeXMLTV, and the installation should really be quite simple, if you read the instructions word for word, don't skip over anything. Hopefully Falcc's doco update isn't too far off to make it make that bit more sense to us all...

If you have any queries with the installation for now, post them with your explicit problems, and we'll be able to talk you through them...

Schlep.

Re: BRP v3 and FreeXMLTV v3 How-to?

I have gone back to the earlier version of BRP for now, after trying to setup the new version it totaly screwed the tv/guide for MCE, had a hell of a time getting it sorted and I nearlly went for a format but after several hours of stuffing around I finally got all channels again and got the Guide working

I will wait for a how to on the newer version before I try it again

Re: BRP v3 and FreeXMLTV v3 How-to?

All in All - Excellent work done by all to provide these services!!!!

But - XMLTV3 - Not quite there yet.... (BETA perhaps?)

I get Error at trying to write the status page.... (perhaps my dual boot MCE, D Drive as main system complicates this?) - would be nice if this was an option rather than mandatory feature, as it doesn't work for me it kills all epg for me....

But, back to version 2 for now....

Cheers All

I had the same issue - replacing the .exe with the version posted by impact in another thread fixed it.
