Freexmltv runs forever and no listing2.xml created

Hi all,

Sorry to re-post this problem but, look i have, i cant find the solution.

I have Freexmltv V4.9 and BRP 3.5 pro installed.

When Freexmltv runs it doesnt create the listing2.xml file need by BRP.
As well as that it runs continuously untill i manually stop it.
I have checked ninemsn and the guide appears to be ok.
when i run the freexmltv.exe file it does create the listing2.xml file along with a coulpe of other files that are also not created by the batch file.

I have reinstalled both applications but still the same problem.

Does any one have a clue as to what i might be doing wrong?

Cheers, and thanks for the site.... its been very useful.

sounds like you have a problem only unique to yourself.

Joking, everyone is having this problem with Freexmltv.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon, otherwise you will need to change grabbers
Either Oztivo or ezgrabber
Do a search around here, for millions of posts on this.

Yes, I do know what is wrong....

as stated in most of the recent threads in this topic, NineMSN have changed the way the data is presented. This has "broken" most of the scrapers.

Read the previous threads and you may find a way to resolve this.

Re: Freexmltv runs forever and no listing2.xml created

A fix for Freexmltv came out but only worked briefly. ATM Freexmltv is not working and the creator has only released a short term solution for Sydney users by releasing guide data for Sydney users only, I guess while the app is reworked. However, I'd recommend you either go to the free community run Oztivo grabber or pay for the commercial IceTv as both provide independent data. Apparently the free EPGrunner is still scraping OK and was not affected by the repeated NineMSN website related issue last week.
