Hi Guys,

My EPG.bat file when run constantly downloads guide data right thru to 2008 and beyond. I don't think this is normal. any ideas???? oh and yes I have copied ver 4.99 over the top of my Ver 4.0 free xmltv prog. This is driving me crazy,, I have reinstalled MCE but the same thing happens.

Re: Obtaining Guide data prob

Hi

I have the same problem. The EPG.bat file ran last night and I deleted 26000 entries from the data folder this morning.

I also have version 4.99

Re: Obtaining Guide data prob

I have done some more investigatation and looks like it is definetly an issue with the website change. Seems that the XMLTV grabber ain't grabbing since it cannot find the data in the webpages it downloads. I went into the data directory and the many pages it downloads do not contain any guide data. In fact there are some encrypted lines of code which may be the guide data we need. I am sure my install is correct as I have already done a complete reload. I am very keen to here of anyone who has free xmltv ver 4.99 working after the date of 18th June.

Cheers all

Re: Obtaining Guide data prob

Hmm I seem to repling to my posts alot. One more I promise. IF you guys are reeeely desperate as I was, you can go to the ICETV website and download a 14day trial of their sware and hopefully that with make a good interim EPG as the freebie gets fixed. OH I installed it myself and it works fantastic. Yes its amazing when you pay for sware you get what you pay for.

Cheers

Glad to see it's not just me. I got home from work & saw it was d/l guide data for 2010! Thought I'd check here before bothering to do a re-install 'cos I thought it'd probably be ninemsn messing with the guide again. Guess I'll just look at what's on the tv the old fashioned way 'till it's fixed.

Re: Obtaining Guide data prob

I wonder what happened to the people impact gave the source to? Do they have no idea how to fix the issue? Does anyone know when impact will be back from his trip? I wish I had of got access to the source
