where is the output of freexmltv

Hi all

New to this so excuse the simple question

I installed bladerunner and then freexmltv today and ran it.

It failed the first time but ran the second time. Said it was downloading a lot of stuff and then finished. I couldnt read the window as it was finishing so I dont know what happened.

Where is the resultant xmltv file. From what I have read it should be in C:\WINDOWS\EHome\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData\Listings 2.xml, but that file is not there. A search on the whole machine yielded nothing either.

I am only after the xml file at the moment so I am hoping that this will do the job for me.

Thanks

Mick

BladeRunner transforms listing2.xml into Guide.bin, which MCE sucks up when it "Downloads Progam Guide".
So, if you want to see the listing2, run freexmltv without running brp straight away...

Re: where is the output of freexmltv

Thanks

Does that mean the if I just wanted a xmltv output I dont need brp?

Freexmltv looks for brp in the config page so I assume they were tied together.

The whiz-bang installer that came with v4.0 does look for BRP (to make the whole setup as automatic as possible).
If you just want the xmltv output, you just need the freexmltv.exe file (which Impact made available for v4.99).

Re: where is the output of freexmltv

I got the output file but it does not appear to be properly formatted.

I opened it with crimson editor and the entire file is on one line, where as proper xmltv files are obviously multilined.

It also does not match the other xmltv file that I have and is not importing to a epg program that read xmltv files.

Is there something else I need to do to get a (what I believe) proper xmltv file.

Mick

Re: where is the output of freexmltv

Yes your freexmltv output was run without any switches therefore you will have no data in the listings file. when run with the correct switches the Data dir should fill with the correct info then BRP should grab the data and format it into the listings file.
