Guide = ? for three channels

Had to be a rebuild last week and now my guide is a bit screwy. For 10HD, 9HD and 7HD my guide just says "?" all the time with the info down the bottom saying

Free*EPG was unable to determine what programme is showing at this time! As this date draws nearer, the programme information will be automatically populated and this message will disappear. Visit www.epgstream.net for more info.

Unfortunately it has been this way for a week and hasn't fixed itself, even after downloading new guide data.

This generally means that your guide data is incomplete or missing. I have the same message for the current time slot. If you are using OzTvio then look here. For Adelaide at present NneHD is 10%, SevenHD 27% and TenHD26% for today.

Re: Guide = ? for three channels

It is possible that you need to map guide date for the correct channels. I use freeEPG and because for example there is more than one ten HD (channel 1 and channel 12 I think) FreeEPG only has guide data in one of those channel streams.

If you go into the guide setup options in MCE and choose "add listings to channel" (I think that is what it is called) you should be able to choose the correct guide listing from the list.

Yeah I have done that so don't think it is the problem. I just checked and there is actually a couple of shows listed for 10HD from about 5 - 6pm so it is picking up the right channel, there just doesn't seem to be any data just as DDH said.

Bit strange as I'm sure this is how I was using it previously (granted it's been a few years since I've had to reinstall). Might just add the SD guide to the HD channel so at least there is data in there. Do they differ often?

Re: Guide = ? for three channels

They do differ a bit, especially 10HD, the others not so much.

Re: Guide = ? for three channels

Just a further note on the % filled at OzTVio. Do remember that the HD channels are only filled where there is a defined program, so they will normally show 100% either. Some gaps are legitimate.

I seem to recall reading somewhere about the "?" gaps also meaning that the show could be the same as SD? Can't really recall to well (too much red wine )

There is a combined feed though available from FreeEPG. This feed fills the gaps on the HD feeds with SD content.

Not sure what the feed is called though.

Hmm, sounds good, I'll have to look into this one myself.

Anyone got any further information here?

Re: Guide = ? for three channels

It's the Epgstream feed that has merged data.
