My system was working quite well under the Blade Runner download system.
Every update was processed seamlessly.
Since the change to the download file I changed to Free*EPG, as it was so simple to install and there seemed to be some problems with the Blade Runner process.
After the initial 'listing' download I had to rebuild (as expected) my recording list. Everything looked OK. Information Blurbs for the recordings reflected the contents of the file. However any 'regular' program planned for the following week's had a blurb with words like "To be Confirmed". This appeared to be OK as I expected the blurb to update after the next 'Listing' update.
After the next listing update the "My TV/Guide/info" blurbs changed to reflect the contents of the program, with one small exception.
Once a recording was complete the 'Info Blurb' still contained words like 'To be Confirmed' a none of the new information that was available when the program was previewed from the guide.
In addition if one looks at the "My TV/recording's/Scheduled" a vast majority of the "info blurbs", for the current week, have the words 'To be Confirmed' and no content information. Even though the "My TV/Guide/<program>/Info", for the current week, has updated content information.
How to I get the "My TV/Recordings/Scheduled" blurbs updated to reflect the current content in 'My TV/Guide/<program>/Info' Blurbs?
FreeEPG was working fine for me before, but I recently formatted (and this time put SP1 on the computer as well), and now, I get the episode names in the actual guide, but when it records the show, it doesn't seem to keep the episode name like it used to.
I'm quite used to the 'To Be Confirmed' from FreeEPG, but when the guide data includes Episode names, why is media center no longer incorporating that metadata into the recorded files? Is it an issue related to SP1, or is it an issue that has cropped up with EPG*Stream?
I was getting exactly the same thing. Today, I went through and cancelled all my sheduled programs, refereshed the guide, and programed them back in. So far, my sheduled programs list seems to have the episode titles listed. I'll let you know if they stick on the actual recording dates.
It seems to have all started happening when they did the OzTive API change thingy a few weeks ago.

Yep, I went over to the EPGStream forums, and apparently they're aware of the problem, and it should start fixing itself over the next week or so. In the meantime, a workaround is to change something about ur recording, not necessarily cancel and replace, but for example, add extra padding, and it should fix it up for that show.
Anyone still having this problem? Because it's not fixed on my computer. I still have to change something about the recording to get the episode name. Either that or cancel it and re-add it.

Reason: Because I'm dyslexic.

I adjusted the post-padding up & back down on each of my scheduled recordings back at the beginning of May, and it's been working fine ever since.

Nope, still the same problem, I need to increase/decrease hard padding at the end of my recordings EVERY TIME, otherwise I still get the to be confirmed message, or simply the date for some shows, even though in the guide itself, the episode name is listed.

Actually, I've noticed that mine's doing the same - although I haven't seen "To Be Confirmed" for ages - I do see the episode's date instead of a description all the time.
OK, so what is it about our systems, as opposed to everyone elses that is causing this to occur? Surely it's not happening to everyone, else there would be quite a fuss being kicked up.
When this started occuring, I had just done a format, and this time installed SP1. I also copy/pasted my recordings.xml file which I had carried over from my previous install - AFTER setting up VMC and my guide. Have you done something similar?
