Is anyone else not receiving new data today on FreeEPG? I've manually downloaded several times but still seem to have very little data. My understanding is fresh data is available on Saturday mornings, and also updated every 2-3 days.
I thought I would check here and find out if it is a common problem, or is it just me?
It appears that the people at EPGStream http://www.epgstream.net/ (Free-EPG) decided to update data a day later than normal over Easter (Saturday arvo/Sunday) as evidenced by EPGStream forum announcement http://forum.epgstream.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=180 . Also, if you go to Oztivo's data page (after logging in with your Oztivo username and pw) at http://minnie.tuhs.org/tivo-bin/gapreport.pl you'll see why the data isn't appearing in your guide. I'd say that all will be back to normal as Easter Sunday progresses and the Oztivo data populates - I see that Sydney is gradually getting commercial station data for today - Adelaide only has ABC and SBS so far but if things are running a day late, it could be late Sunday 'arvo before Adelaide is done...etc
However, within an hour of my post here I noticed Ten-SA starting to populate (10%) and 2 of the Melbourne commercial channels 100% for the week.... I guess this is a good example of what to check for in future when the guide appears gappy :-) The last thing you'd want to do is rescan channels and assign guide data unnecessarily only to find all the channels with no data still hehehe gee I've done that B4 hehehe!!

The problem I have isn't due to lack of data, the actual channels are missing. 7 SD, 9 SD and 10 SD are all missing. The HD versions are still there and have data. I'm in Perth by the way.
To add to my last post, the poor data turn over has also been struck with an interface issue as reported here: (EPGStream reporting that they are rolling back to old interface until new gets debugged)
Well we had everything ready to go for our holiday trip away and the Murphy's Law kicks in!
You may be aware that have been moving to ozTiVo's new guide source interface over the past few weeks. Everything seems to have been running fine up until the 31st March ozTiVo cutoff, but it looks like this weekend we encountered our first problem.
The current ozTiVo.net guide API is populating correctly, but ozTiVo.net appears to be having problems with their new API which failed to update properly this weekend. This means that we could not get some data beyond Saturday, 22nd March ...
We've made a temporary switch back to the old ozTiVo.net API interface so you should be seeing your data come through in the next hour.
Happy Easter!
PS - If the folks at EPGStream and Oztivo read this - I entered Sunday's guide data for Adelaide Seven, Nine and Ten because I wanted to see if it was merely a data issue or a more complex issue. i can confirm that it must be the EPGStream conection/interface with Oztivo data as the data is there but not loading into VMC. Hopefully, given the above quote, we'll all be back to normal within an hour!

Yeah ozTiVo.net are having a minor glitch with their new guide API so we havent been able to data this weekend. The new API has been working great over the past few weeks, but the ozTiVo guys must be doing some fine tuning this weekend.
We've switched back to the old interface (which is being decomissioned on the 31st March) so you should see your holiday data with the hour.
Damn! Almost had a whole weekend without having to think about guide data! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll heading back out rock climbing while there is still some light left ...
