Austar/FTA EPG Feed

Hello,

I am looking to integrate the guide for FTA and Austar (Tasmania) in my vista media center using Free EPG (was previously an IceTV user). I am running through all of the feeds (10 available) to see which one had the combined Austar (Foxtel) and FTA feeds but cannot seem to find it. I've read its supposed to be the FOXTEL Platinum one but it only lists all the Foxtel channels and no FTA.

Does anyone know which feed I should be using?

Thanks.

Re: Austar/FTA EPG Feed

Hi,

The guides should all have FTA included with them. Check out this post for more information.

Thanks,

Re: Austar/FTA EPG Feed

Hello,

Thanks for the reply and link to the post. Not sure about other states but Austar in Tasmania has very limited FTA, I think it may only be ABC1 out of a mainland state that is broadcast. Not sure of this is the reason, but out of the 5 or 6 feeds I tried I got a mix of 70-odd channels of which were all Austar/Foxtel related only.

I was after a feed that was a mix of both SD and HD channels for local FTA and all the Austar/Foxtel channels as well. If this is not possible then I'll just use the FTA feed for my local FTA channels and won't worry about the Austar ones.

Thanks.

Re: Austar/FTA EPG Feed

Hi,

We'll probably start bundling full FTA listings plus PayTV listings after our ozTiVo.net cut-over (near the end of the month), but it is quite a lot of data to be compiled for such a small majority of users.

I'd recommend using BladeRunner in combination with out guide download client here: http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...tv-client.html . That way you can mix and match whatever channels you require!

Thanks,

Re: Austar/FTA EPG Feed

Thanks guys. I'll probably wait for that solution to become available then. In the meantime I'm quite happy to use an EPG for FTA and no listings for the Austar/Foxtel channels.

Thanks,

Todd.
