can freeepg load xmltv file

I am wondering if Freeepg is able to load an xmltv file I create, is this a possibility or is Freeepg tied to your server ?

Thanks for all your work and the professional manner it is run.

Circuit

Hi Circuit!

Yes we can load an XMLTV file that you create on our servers. Or you you mean load an XMLTV file just on your machine?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Yes well I was just thinking of my machine, is it also possible to upload to your server.
I was just thinking of pooling some available sources including EIT data which is becoming availabe and maybe modifying to suit my needs.

What options do I have ?

Re: can freeepg load xmltv file

What about using Bladerunner and set it to utilise the XML data you are creating from the EIT data?

I will if I have to, but the old version of Bladerunner I would need to use in Vista has a few issues ie: not recording single shows reliably.
I dont belive any later version works with Vista.
I'm not aware of any of these problems with Freeepg.

Hi,

I'd think that the problems with Vista and recording are universal ... whether BladeRunner or via the epgStream.net gateway. Do you have a link to the BladeRunner "not recording single shows reliably" problem?

Also, if someone want's to provide a reliable guide XMLTV source, we're happy to create and host a new feed option on epgStream.net (e.g. Free-To-Air Digital (Circuit's Data)) ... The only problem is to make sure the source reliable, and available 52 weeks in the year. You know how *really* annoyed users get when data goes missing!

Thanks,

Try these - Another EPG Eh? - FreeXMLTV
Another EPG Eh? - FreeXMLTV
I think they sum up what happens with Bladerunner 3

Thanks OK I don't know that I would be able to reliably supply feed, especially as I am only testing scripts ATM
