Duplicating EPG Data...

Feel free to flame if this is in fact a stupid question or has been addressed earlier...

but is it possible to simply duplicate the EPG data so my channels in my guide... ie Seven 1, Seven 2, Seven 3 etc all display the same.

Might be a simple and pathetic problem but it would definatley make life alot easier for the missus who still can never remember the channel numbers and prefers to scroll up and down.

Any help REALLY appreciated...

Re: Duplicating EPG Data...

Hi!

You are probably better off hiding or re-ordering your channels so they all appear together and in a reasonable order. Under Guide Settings ...

Thanks,

Re: Duplicating EPG Data...

Aaaah yep, have done that. The only problem is, when I do a new scan for channels jic of new channels etc, I have to go back in and do it all over again.

Is there a way of saving this config so I can just restore my setup if I ever do this?

Re: Duplicating EPG Data...

Hi!

Why would you have to keep scanning for new channels?

Thanks,

Re: Duplicating EPG Data...

With my MCE 2005 instal I continually suffered from loss of guide data errors and the like which alot of the time the only way to fix was to rescan and redownload my guide info.

I have installed vista on mine in the last 2 days so ill see how this one lasts...
