Guide Download Error Code : 34

Ok,

i tried doing a manual guide update just now i got that error message

now, my system has full access to the internet, and i checked the registry keys and it still has the free epg server in it and everything...

well...don't i feel stupid...

i had to give the system a restart and now it works...

Hi P,

All you need to do with a error 34 is close down the mce GUI and start it up again.

i have that error, have restarted, done a few things, no go. trying to run the guide setup and get error code 14, unknown discovery service. any ideas?

I have rebooted and still get this error as well. I'm resorting to installing Vista service pack 1... (gulp)

If you're using FreeEPG I suggest you wait a while, it appears there site is down which is causing guide download issues.

I seemed to have fixed this problem with an elegant and simple solution that I thought of when I remembered MSN Messenger wouldnt log in for me once, it might not work for everyone but Its worth a try!
I noticed my clock was 10 minutes out (well 10 minutes and about 6 years) after resetting that this error disappeared.
Unfortunately I got a code 21 instead so im hoping to fix that soon!

I'm having the same problem with error code 34. Hope your right about the site being down, cos the guide runs out tonight for me.

Can anybody help to as why mine still will not download? And come up with error code 34?
I;m still lost to why. Epgstream.net forum has no answers. I swear no one goes on there.
