I'm trying to download and setup the epgstream software, but I get the below error when accessing www.epgstream.net
Any ideas?
Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>

Seems OK at the moment. I trust you have had some success since you posted.

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
The entire site (and services) had disappeared for a while, though.
The site came back up, and let me download the xmltv pack setup, which then refused to connect to licensing servers, which came back up today.
But unfortunately setup still hangs at "Connecting to configuration service" returning
"Unable to access configuration web service (ProtocolError).
Service may be temporarily unavailable."
I guess I picked a bad weekend to buy a new hard drive and reinstall my media center then.

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
Managed to get back and try again tonight (2/3).
All OK, and successfully installed. Now just need to wait until all the channels for my area (Wollongong - Northern Suburbs) have guide information available.
Looking forward to a reliable service (hopefully) over the coming weeks when the new FreeTV channels start up (fingers crossed) - then I'll commit to a donation.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
If you want Oztivo data for Wollongong, you'll need to contribute the data yourself
At least when SC10 start broadcasting the OneHD stream you can use the Sydney OneHD feed.
For Prime HD, I think you can use the Seven HD feed (or at least you used to be able to) as it was a direct copy of the Seven HD feed.
Win HD, well, you don't need any data cause they mostly still broadcast the HD loop and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I find it easier to use the IceTV data as they provide decent data for Wollongong (same place as you, Northern Suburbs). Doesn't mean I haven't donated to EPGStream though![]()

I can't complete the guide wizard. I get and error when it tries to connect to the configuration service. Anyone know what the problem is?

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
I have the same problem with the Guide Wizard. It stalls on step 6 when it is downloading guide information. I tried to register for the forums to get help but that isn't working either. No activation emails are being sent. Hopefully their providers will sort it out or even better they will move to a new one!
CD
Update: I can now get to Step 16 then it fails. Receive Error - I am guessing a hosting issue?

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
Just to close my problem - I followed a few of the other threads on epgstream.net and it seemed that everything was working, I just couldn't get the wizard to test everything successfully. I changed the port to 777 and manually configured. It all works fine now. Nothing else appeared to be using port 8080 but it just would not test! Anyway, I have all my listings and a donation has been sent! :-)

Re: Fri 27 Feb - Is epgstream.net down ?
I was planning to load BladeRunner Pro which I've used before but I can't get to the old OZTivo - has that been disabled?? Anyway I found EPGstream so I'm trying to configure the guide from epgstream.net. The website initially seemed good with video instructions (http://www.epgstream.net/default.asp...mltv-guidepack) but I quickly fell out of sync (step 4), where the actual installation requested registration info, while the video did not seem to get this page. When I attempted to register I get a message saying "Unable to access registration web service (Connect Failure) Service may be temporarily unavailable". Is there a minimum donation prerequisite before a licence is issued or is the licence server really offline? I was able to download the software-guidepack. Seems there are quite a few posts here about service outages, how reliable is this EPG and is it OK to use in the Gold Coast area?
