I considered using nanny ware when we as a family first went on line but rejected the idea and instead took the view that my kids knew what was and what was not allowed.
We, that is my wife and I, explained to our children what they are permitted to do and what they were not. We also explained what would happen if they broke the rules, removal of all rights to use the net.
Similarly we vetted the films/DVDs they were allowed to view as well as the TV programs they could watch.
Yes occasionally they would access a site, usually inocently, they should not have but they would usually tell me or my wife of the fact.
As I said in my previous post it worked out pretty well, they are now aged 20 and 18 and have had access to the net for half their lives or more with no ill affects.
