Metal Gear fans (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

Is there any other "Metal Gear" fans here? That includes the whole series, including the "Solid" ones also.

I'll go into some brief history about me and Metal Gear:

I first was introduced to Metal Gear Solid in 2002 when I picked myself up a PSone from the stores, Mum bought me home some games and one of them was a game in a weird looking cover, it had "Metal Gear Solid" on the front of it, I opened it up and decided to play it, I was at the menu screen pressing "x" and nothing was happening, after around 10 minutes I finally figured out that pressing "O" or "Start" got me into the menu, again fiddling around and after about another 10 minutes I started playing. At first i thought it was the WORST GAME I have ever played, I had no clue what was going on and I kept getting this red box with the number 99 appearing in the top of the screen and sirens going off, with no weapons I tried to dispatch of the enemies, I failed, so I rage quit.

A year later, in 2003 i received a PS2 for a birthday present, again mum bringing me home some games, I saw "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty", I thought I should give it another shot, I loved the game, I spent countless hours playing the game, eventually clocking up around 30 completed game saves. I decided to go back to the Original Metal Gear Solid, I loved that too now since I had an idea of what was happening, I was slightly annoyed though after realising that Snake was the main character in the original MGS and having to play as Raiden which after playing MGS was slightly annoying. This series of games would become my favorite, surpassing Command and Conquer, a game i grew up with.

In 2006, I bought Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater from EB Games for $50 AUD, WOW was this different! This game was awesome! I also sunk many hours playing this game, later in the year I picked up Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence for $90 AUD that came with 3 Discs and a new camera angle. I played this game lots and lots also through 2007.

It is now 2008, still playing MGS 2 and 3 mainly (Its been quite a few years since playing MGS), Metal Gear Solid 4 gets released, i wanted to get it on release date and pick myself up a limited edition copy, but i didn't have a PS3 unfortunately, so last Saturday, i withdrew $750 from my bank account and purchased a PS3 with Metal Gear Solid 4 from GAME. I like all the MGS games but 2 3 and 4 are my favorites. I just finished MGS4 today and WOW! Best game i have ever played. I nearly cried at the end. There was only one thing i found annoying and that was the new controls, coming from the other MGS games it had me attempting to shoot my enemies, instead of shooting i kept turning off and on the auto aim.

I'd like to hear from any other Metal Gear fans, or can give some advice for new comers to the series

Thanks.
