Where have all the cheap processors gone?

Where has the time gone we could build a cheapo box for $350.00 with a nice Celeron 3.2 ghz CPU with a pricetag of $75.00?

Dual, Quad cpu's, allright. Are they really worth the money for our mce boxes? NO.

I want my Celerons back. And favourably the 3.6 ghz/775 pin. Where can I find it?

What is wrong with E2180 for $69 from fluidtek?

Or cheaper still, a Dual Core Celeron 1.6G E1200 for only $59! from NetPlus. Though I'd prefer the E2180 for $10 more. I'm pretty sure that the 1.6G & 1.8G in these processors is more grunt then the D365 Celeron 3.6G from the past.
