Breakdowns in clumps

Have you every noticed that when things break, they seem to break in clumps, i.e., one thing breaks, so does another?

I've had a car battery go dead, then a glass enclosure around a light explode, then my oven needing repairs, and last night my washing machine packed it in, all within a space of two weeks.

Fortunately, I am running out of appliances left to go wrong....

Re: Breakdowns in clumps

There was a great Garfield cartoon years ago, as he walked past various appliances they stopped working, when he checked they all went out of warranty yesterday.

When did you buy that MCE

Re: Breakdowns in clumps

DDH/Circuit,

Electronic gizmos seem to do the same thing, but in their own clump. I guess white goods and entertainment things just don't hang (or conspire) together.
