Crunchie & DVRMSToolbox problem

I've recently installed the crunchie and dvrmstoolbox software downloaded from this forum. When I tried converting my dvr-ms files, it processes for a minute or so (I see the output file size increasing) and somehow gets stuck in processing. I still see the dvrmstompeg.exe using around 50% of the CPU but the output file still remains the same size. I have left this running all day and overnight.

I've also tried using the latest version of dvrmstoolbox but it is still the same. It somehow is stuck at 0.84 to 0.96% of the conversion.

Any ideas?

Re: Crunchie & DVRMSToolbox problem

Sounds like there is a glitch in the DVR-MS recording your trying to process. Have you tried any other recordings or is it just the one?

Re: Crunchie & DVRMSToolbox problem

I've also had 2 users both from the UK in the last couple of days having possibly similar issues. It appears the old version of DVRMSToolbox that is hosted here no longer supports some recordings with RU2.

You can download the latest version of DVRMSToolbox from here.

When I get the time I will update the version we host here as well to make sure no one else suffers the same problem.

Then again. It could just be a bad recording as Matt suggests

Cheers,
Arkay.

Re: Crunchie & DVRMSToolbox problem

I've tried all the recordings and they all get stuck after the file size is between 90 -120MB.

I've also tried the latest version of dvrmstoolbox (1.0.9.6) and it still gets stuck.

Re: Crunchie & DVRMSToolbox problem

There'd only be a couple of possible causes for something like that.

1. Not enough disk space (maybe you are out of temp space?).
2. All your recordings are corrupt at the same point.

Other than that I can't really tell you. I'd suggest making some short recordings (2-3 mins) and trying to convert them to mpeg in DVRMSToolbox and see what happens.

If these recordings were made with RU2 they won't work. DVRMSToolbox has a problem with Australian DVB-T files with AC3 audio? Maybe that is the issue?

Cheers,
Arkay.
