PSUs, what do I need to know

about to place a parts order for some upgrade bits to build me a media server...

Just realised that I am going to need a new PSU.

for a 24x7 box that will be drawing (according to some of those online PSU calculators) 320-400W, what should I look at in terms of PSU?

I need something that can handle 5x SATA power, and about the same number of molex power connections as well.

I was thinking 450/500W would cover it, and have enough overhead to only run at ~70-80% capacity.

But the last time I shopped around for bits was when I built the machine that is getting frankensteined (its a Socket A athlon 1 GHz, circa 2001).

who are the good brands? Can I get away with less than $100 for a suitable power supply?
