Thermaltake Dh102

Finaly finished another build, this one is setup in the games room.

Case: DH102 with 7'inch lcd
Motherboard: asus p5k
graphics: msi 8600gts
Memory: Winchip DDR800 2x1gig
Hardrive: Western digital 500 and 1,000 gig.
Tv Cards: Avermedia 771 daul and hvr 1300.
Dvd drive: Pioneer bluray drive.

Software:vista home premium, ffdshow, haalii splitter, power dvd 7.0 ultra,
Cyberlink playmovie.
Extra's:
Amp:yamaha 863
Speakers: 7x dream aucustic 200watt's each.
Amp: also made by dream
TV: 42 inch plasma
foxtel
The speakers even though they were pretty cheap put out a pretty good sound.

The system has been runnibg pretty sweet with out any faults for the last four weeks.
I have set my other system including amp and speakers up in the lounge.
the only thing that kills it is a 81 cm centrex tv.
now i have a computer in the games, lounge and each of my 6 boys have a 12 month old computer with new 17 inch widescreen lcd,s tv for there games consules and computer.
I also have a little via 1000 running 24/7 as caller id and printer server, which is controlled of the wifes laptop.
The good thing is the power bill isn't that high, but i go through 25 gig of data/downloads about 2 days before the end of every month.

Re: Thermaltake Dh102

Just a quick question i got windows home server delivered last week it is a 120 day free trial.
Would it run on a via 1000 board and if so what would be the benefits.
Board is a gigabyte mini itx via chipset with a 1000mhz processer, running a 120gig laptop hardrive and 512ddr of ram and caller id modem and cheap lexmark printer.

Re: Thermaltake Dh102

Vico - you can see all the specs and pics you want of the iMon software and the lcd touch screen on Thermaltake's site.

broadstar44 - I've just ordered this case m'self (should arrive tomorrow - yay!) and I was just wondering how you've found the volume of the case fans? I've read a few reviews that say they're not the quietest and only have 4-pin molex instead of 3-pin connectors. Have you (or are you going to) replaced the fans with something quieter? If so, what did you go for and how much quieter are they?

Any other overall thoughts about the case?

Thanks
Adrian

not sure what the resolution is the wifes wacthing tv at the moment but yes you can run desktop and disable imon, if you disable or exit imon the mce remote won't work.
the mce remote and keyboard works excellent.
I only use as a picture viewer with the imon software while in media centre.
I will test res tonight, at the moment i am running 800x600.

big difference in noise level when you run a 4 pin fan, i have mine running in silent mode and has made a big difference.
I now have to get a quieter power supply.
i was suprised how easy it is to work with with the imon software.
the mce remote and keyboard works flawlesly.
Only one down side which i have sit down and work out is the plugin play movie for bluray drive won't work with mce remote properly, but apart from that everything else works ace.

...Snip!
Silent Mode? Please excuse my ignorance, but what's that? Is that related to your mobo or the case or what? And how did you enable it?
Also, which PSU are you using? I've ordered the Corsair HX520 which I've heard are nice and quiet so I'm hoping it actually is!

Sorry Vico, I think maybe you took my reply the wrong way... Anyway, the max res is 1024x786 so, although you can display your desktop on the touchscreen, you can't 'clone' it if your running your main screen (ie, tv) at 1080. This is due to Windows not allowing you to output to two monitors at different resolutions.

Vlad wrote up a good post about his DH102 which you can read here.
