Re: New HTPC Parts Listing, Advice ?

yeh stil waiting on TV card I am told it is only a couple of days away.

yeh our systems are very similar. I have two rigs (the one being discussed is the newest). Will post a heap of photos and setup info shortly once everything is finalised.

Yeh I think I will do the same as you and change the Vid card. Probably to something with pass through audio so I don't have to swap the *default* audio device ever.

Yes I have the Drive in and running, yet to actually play any Blueray but will definately test it in coming weeks

Re: New HTPC Parts Listing, Advice ?

Everyone is waiting on the Hauppage TV cards at the moment, but when they arrive, supposed to be early next week I have been told from a few suppliers, there will be plenty to go around.
Do a search of the forums here and you will find out about supply problems.
Let us all know how it goes??

How did you go with your TV card???
What part of Australia do you live in??
Lots of people are having Channel 10 reception dramas with them, including me.
???Gold Coast area???
I am working with Newmagic at the moment hopefully to fix the issue.

Post some pics to see the HTPC??

Re: New HTPC Parts Listing, Advice ?

hey mate! yeh TV card finally arrived and is in, has been going ok now for about 2 weeks. I don't do a lot of TV watching but I have been pretty happy with the quality etc. I live in regional West Aus. Unfortunately we aren't all digital here (only 2 channels) so I run it as analog at the mo. Reception seems reasonable as I don't have anything special as an aerial etc.

Yeh no Channel 10 dramas for me but I am yeh the opposite side of the country. Channel 10 is a meto channel for us anyone so a standard aerial doesn't get reception for it.

I don't have any pics at the mo but I have to bust out the digi cam to take pics of some stuff for Ebay so when I do that will try and get some photos for you
