My MCE Setup

MCE box with Planned Upgrades

Case: Coolermaster CAV02

Mobo: Intel D865PERLL

CPU: P4 2.4C

Ram: 2 x 256mb Kingmax P3200

Video: X-Micro Ti4200 128mb VIVO (Might Upgrade to a 6600GT pending Amp upgrade)

Audio: Integrated AC97 using SDIF via Toslink (soon to upgrade to HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1) once MCE drivers have been finalized

Network: Intel Pro 10/100S

HDD: 160GB WD-JD

Optical: Pioneer 116 DVD-ROM firmware updated to be region free

TV Tuner: Not interested in TV capture of any kind at this stage

Peripherals: None

Remotes: MCE OEM remote + Zensonic Z150

OS: MCE 2005



Sound with Planned Upgrades

Sound: Yamaha RXV-520 Amp (Soon to upgrade to Marantz SR7500)

Speakers: Mission M35i for fronts

Mission M32i for rears

Jensen SPX-13 Centre (Not sure if I will bother changing this yet)

Jensen SPX-17 SUB (Again not sure)

SONY CRX175A1 CD-RW crusty old 24x drive

Monitors: 2x Samsung 957DF 19” CRT’s

Peripherals: Ratty old MS keyboard and Optical Mouse

OS: XP Pro



So basically everything is pumped through the network to the MCE box, it works well and it’s a system that I am happy with
