Briz31

Hi, I've recently got the EPG working for MCE using FreeXMLTV. It works pretty well, and I get channel listings for the regular free-to-air channels (ABC, 7, 9, 10, SBS). However I don't get Briz31.

This is fairly understandable I suppose, since FreeXMLTV uses ninemsn, and they don't have the listings. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on getting Briz31 listings into the guide?

I had a quick look at EPGRunner and IceTV - but wasn't able to get Briz31 one there either.

I suppose with BRP I could continue to use FreeXMLTV and "merge" in the listing for Briz31 from someplace. It's the "someplace" that I can't work out.

(yes, yes I know there's not alway much of value on Briz31, but it's vitally important for WAF)

Re: Briz31

Is this analog or digital as if it is anything like Perth Access 31 it is only an analog signal and there cannot be tuned into MCE using digital tuner. If you use analog then it shouldn't be too hard as BRP/Freexmltv scrapes Access 31 for me

Re: Briz31

Sorry I forgot to clarify. Yes it's analog. I can tune in and watch it fine in MCE (I've got an analog tuner card). I just can't get the channel listings.

That's great that BRP/FreeXMLTV works for you (analog). Perhaps I've screwed up a settings somewhere (wouldn't be the first time!)?

I tried the Perth listings at ninemsn, and as you said, Access 31 is listed fine. Change the location to Brisbane (on the ninemsn page), and there's no Briz31. That's why I was thinking it's just not available (the listing info) for Brisbane, thus I wasn't expecting FreeXMLTV to find any details.

Re: Briz31

Ah I reckon you are out of luck then. Does EPGrunner cover Briz31

Re: Briz31

Yep. EPGGrabber doesn't include Briz31, and neither does IceTv.

Oh well, I suppose I need to decide if I'm keen enough to write my own EPG grabber. At the moment, I'm not. :-)

Re: Briz31

Thanks for the great suggestion.
I tried the OzTivo (instead of FreeXMLTV) grabber, and the listings come through fine.
Problems solved. Thanks again.

Re: Briz31

Correct. Just regular, dumb standard def. on channel 31.

But I was after the guide so I can actually record some stuff. :-) The OzTivo one seems to work pretty well.
