I'm hoping someone from southeast QLD might be struggling with BRP and the issues created by daylight savings. My install of BRP works flawlessly in terms of downloading and then displaying the guide. During the inital install I selected Brisbane for FTA and it seems that doing so provides a default time offset of GMT +1000. Fine so far.
I've used TiggerK's file to incorporate Fox digital into the guide. However the data on the ninemsn site for foxtel reflects DST timings, therefore the info being taken from the site is one hour out. Eg, what is shown on my guide as being played now was actually played an hour ago and to see what is currently playing I need to look one hour ahead in the guide. This creates real dramas when recording from the guide.
I've tried to add the timezone key (using GMT +1100) into both the FoxTvHarvest.conf.exe and the OptusTvHarvest.conf.exe to override the default BRP time offset but this is ignored. I can't find any config files in BRP to make adjustments to this.
I've also set the PC clock to GMT +1000 Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne and ticked the 'adjust for daylight savings' box. This sets my computer 1 hour ahead of current time (not suitable) but it does fix the fox screenings however the FTA local channels are then out by an hour and I can't see in the guide what is currently showing (not really a fix). I've noticed that if I make this change during the BRP execution phase the data timings all work out but BRP looses a heap of lisitings which then come up blank.
I'm hoping someone has a solution or work around for this and can steer me in the right direction.
Thanks
PS: I've tried running BRP with the PC clock on +1100 DST then prior to importing the download into MCE I change back to AEST and this works for the fox guide but it drops the FTA lisitngs putting them an hour in front. So I guess the question is "How do I override the BRP default timezone (which is taken from the OS timezone) to accommodate the foxguide which is an hour in front?" seeing as how by adding '<add key="Timezone" value="+1100" />' to the FoxTvHarvest.exe.config (and Opus) doesn't adjust the settings within BRP.

I've added the <addkey="Timezone"value="+1100"/> to both the FoxDigitalTvHarvest.exe.config and the Optus file as well but when BRP executes TVHarvest it defaults to +1000hrs.
that is correct because tvh reads the system timezone and as BRP was ONLY ever designed to support FTA ur key value in the timezone for PAYTV will be ignored.
*EDIT*
actually thats a double post by u didnt realise... pls dont cross post i am going to remove ur other one.

I get your point monster but your reply wasn't a solution. I was asking the question as to whether anybody has come up with an innovative way to alter the system time through a command line prompt during the execution phase of BRP so that FTA is download localtime, PayTV on adjusted time and then systemtime restored. This would solve the problem.
Such could be handled through 'concatlisting.cmd'.

Thats my point because if tvh only reads systemtime why does the Timezone key value <add key="Timezone" value="+1100" /> even exist as it seems to be a consistent theme on this forum that by adding that value to the TVHarvest.exe.config you can manipulate the data being downloaded.

Problem now sorted with a few registry tweaks and a different version of TVHarvest that allows for timezone to be included and recognised from the config file. Only issue now is that the source site has removed a heap of channel listings causing 'no data' to be displayed in the guide.

BTW thanks for your efforts in putting together the files for FTA and Pay TV. I didn't have time to commit to it so perservered with EPGRunner until you posted your 'sticky'.
My registry tweaks were specific only to some settings on my own machine and so aren't relevant here. But what I did do was source an earlier version of TVHarvest.exe which is dated 22/2/2004 and is 64KB and used this to replace the version supplied with BladerunnerPro (which is 88KB).
The later version uses 'time offset' which locks TVHarverst into the timezone being used by the OS. The earlier version doesn't do this so by adding the relevant keys, <add key "Timezone" value="+1100" /> they are NOT ignored and my PayTV and FTA data is nicely packaged into the guide. Great!!
One problem though. This earlier version of TVHarvest doesn't run 100% with your concatlisting.cmd. BRP will download the FTA info and writes it to FTAlisting2.xml. It will then do the file re-write for OptusTVHarvest and execute and write this info to Optuslisting2.xml. Then, for some reason I haven't yet worked out, it skips the FoxDigTVHarvest and goes directly to the final routine of linestrp and cleaning out the guidedata file. I don't have Opus but have FoxDig so in concatlisting.cmd I simply moved the Fox routine above Opus to collect the Fox info and skip the Opus stuff. Not an issue for me because the only info I miss is on FoxFootyChannel. And all the listings are back now the source site has been fixed.
Once again thanks for your effort with this. Keep up the great work!
Regards
Einsteiny
