Arrow EPG not exactly right

Hi Everyone … it’s been a while since I have had to do a post… having a nice little stint overseas anyway I had my box at a mates place for the last 12 months, before doing that the EPG worked fine for brisbane… I remember setting it up in the first instance Upon arriving back in Australia around 3 weeks ago I istalled the Rollup 2 update, but at this time was not loading the EPG because the machine was not connected to a T.V. or Antenee.. moved into a new place last weekend and all week have spent late nights trying to get the thing to work. Just quickly what are the best programs to use, at this stage I’m thinking BladeRunner Pro v3 or BladeRunnerPro.. not sure what one since they are both popular so so help here would be good. Then should I use FreeXMLTV ?

I have installed both and uninstalled and installed again I see it downloading the listings

but I get a no listings message within MCE when I start the EPG I see the channels though, anyway want start from scratch…since I have done so much mucking around and like a few othes have files all over the place so if someone know’s what files need to be where that would be helpful I would like to delete any file to get MCE back to a clean install… then I’ll start with the Blade runner and Freexmltv. Programs again.

Thanks for your help the site is great

Darren

Re: EPG not exactly right

Thanks eepunk, I used the tool to reset MCE and then re-installed Bladerunner pro v3 and freexmltv 4, I now have a guide and mapped this inside MCE to the channels, however when I run EPG.bat I get an error while starting quickguide.

I have not setup a grabber inside of BRPv3 and am not sure what it is or does, I can see guide listings in my EPG ?? how do I go about setting this up ?? thanks heaps so far I feel like I'm just one step away now !

Re: EPG not exactly right

Hi Woody.

yes you need to add a grabber but at the moment the only working grabber is mceDUGG.

See GuideGrabbers thread here for more info.

Thumbs up Re: EPG not exactly right

Hi Again everyone… thanks heaps for your help this far, I have installed versions 4 of freexmltv also mcedugg and Bladerunner Pro V3 and just last night copied the 4.9 patch of Freexmltv over my version 4.0 the only problem I have is that Chanel 1 or 10 that is 10 digital does not have any guide information, MCE asks me to goto settings T.V. and attach a guide listing but at this point 10 does not appear. Someone have an idea what I’m missing here.

Cheers

Woody
Just a quick note... Everything is up and running (for now) thanks everyone !
