Question BRP3 + XMLtvDownload + Vista

Hi Guys,

I've recently upgraded to Vista and I'm trying to get a working EPG.
I've used Free*EPG in the past and its great but doesn't give me all of the TV channels in my area.
So the closest that I have come to a "close to working" guide is with BRP3 and XMLtvDownload.

The problem that I'm having is that after BRP has triggered XMLtvDownload and then triggered Quickguide to convert the downloaded xml file to a .bin file, the bin file is only 3k in size. Where as the original listings2.xml file that xmltv downloaded was 5MB.

There are no errors that suggest that there was a problem converting the file.

I know of one other person who is using this same setup and getting the same problem.

Just wondering if anyone has found a solution for this?

Thanks,

Trent

Re: BRP3 + XMLtvDownload + Vista

I was trying to get BRP 3.5 and xmltvDownload to work as well. I found that wmcGuideServiceProxy is heaps easier to setup. Still in Beta at the moment but once completed will do the job nicely. Check it out here:-
