Is not strange to get SBS and ABC, the reason you get these is that their default name in the guide is the same as the channel name, hence they are matched always, unless you try to break them. This is why I suggest reselecting the guide for the channel.

You say "yea tried that", did you actually reselect it, or just look at it? It may look OK, but may need reselection. The reson I persist is that your description of the problem suits this so well, and would just like to be really sure before sending you off to look elsewhere.

# re: Possible cause of Media Center guide download error code 14 and 33

i read all the ideas posted here.

i did manage solve error 33. the case for me was, i changed the computer name recently. went through the registry key HKLP\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Med ia Center\Service\EPG , i noticed that the discSvc showed path with my old computer name.

i believed that the bladerunner pro did not update the path.

i changed back my computer name and no more error 33.

Re: lost part of channels with brp

That all sounds great except that I've had the same problem over the past week or so & I've done nothing and the non-ABC, non-SBS data is back. I'd suggest your network name change is coincidental, it would be interesting to change it back and see if you can repeat the problem. In retrospect I did make one change, my LAN address was changed from DHCP to manual but I think this was after the first instqance of the problem that had already self-healed.
