loss of guide data with new nova-t-500 card

Hi everyone, not sure if post should go under EPG or here..
I was borrowing 2xNOVA-T tuner cards (as I finally got fed up with my 2xLeadtek peices of junk) and I IceTV EPG running perfectly. nothing crashed, no loat channels, no freezing channels... SO I deciede the Hauppauge cards were perfect for me... SO I bought the newer NOVA-T-500 dual tuner card. install was easy and MCE detected the new tuners correctly.
I went through and re-applied the guide (icetv again) as a new install and everything appeared fine. I edited the channels, moved them and then applied the guide channels to the scanned channels just as I have always done.
My problem is now even though the guide is linked to the channel I have no guide data and evey channel has 'no data available' on it.. If I remove a guide channel form the scanned channel it gives the same no data message with that channel - but does say that channel is not linked with the guide as expected.
I have tried using BPR pro and OzTivo, - whcih worked previously also, but this no longer gives me guide data - even though the channel names have been changed to that of the guide channel name so it does appear is if it is linking the guide to the channel, but just no guide data anymore. the channelinfo.xml file has just the template data in it, no guide listings.. and yet Oztivo downloads the guide..
Im not sure how t check if the XML file is being updated correctly, or what to do next to try and resolve this issue.. Ive never had this problem with the LEadtek or the borrowed NOVA-T cards, just the new NOVA-T-500 card..
I have run scanchannelBDa version 2.0.0.7 and I have 75% signal strength and higher on all channels on both tuners.
does anyone know how to fix this very fustrating problem???
thanks in advance
Bryan
