Re: Cannot install with TV Pack 2008 installed

I thought the installers were updated to fix this issue. Did you download the latest version from the Big Screen Global site?

If not, you can try changing the version reg key before installation

2. Regedit, HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Med ia Center
3. Find Ident, change from 5.1 to 5.0
4. Install plugin
5. Change back to 5.1

Re: Cannot install with TV Pack 2008 installed

Ok sorry guys - this was my mistake... (!)

I only got around to installing the final version of tv pack yesterday and realized I'd neglected to patch one of the additional checks I had in the installer.

Anyhow - the latest installers have now been uploaded to the bigscreenglobal.com site (all are prefixed with 'C' instead of 'B') - so please redownload them and give it a shot. (I've tested them ok here).

Please Note (for anyone else reading) - I also patched the registration on Weather v2 so it doesn't go in the news category (and in turn doesnt get picked up in the sports strip on main menu). The downside is this also means it will no longer appear in the 'news + sports' category inside program library (and will only be visible in the 'programs by name' category).

If you don't want to download anything - you can use the technique dgaust described above as well. (and if installing multiple big screen products you can update the reg key before you install them and change it back once they are all done).

cheers

Niall

Niall,

Install all worked without having to change the registry.

Cheers
