i would recommend using the payphone.then its upto telstra whether or not to replace the box

Actually, It now can't logon to the Windows Update site, so it keeps telling me that my computer is at risk. Thankfully I only run MCE on that one so if it does die, I'm not gonna loose anything.

But I'm still interested in Purevideo. As PowerDVD didn't work, maybe Purevideo is the temporary answer for me until RTM is available to buy?

Purevideo worked for me.i'd say give the trial version a go and see if thigs work out for you...

Thumbs up Re: Vista RC2 Decoder Error (suddenly)

Just tried PureVideo and it works. But I don't get surround sound with it. According to their website, there is a problem with MCE 2005 RU2 & PureVideo, so they've written a patch to solve the issue. Unfortunately, this did not work for me. As Creative have finally updated their driver to work with Vista properly, I might stick with the back date for a while and see how it goes. If it does become problematic, I will give PureVideo another go.

I have the purevideo srivers installed and I still have issues... the audio and video now goes out of sync... not sure what is going on...
