i never managed to get myth tv going. i tried installing using the knopmyth package, but it didnt like the fact that i used SATA drives in RAID - neither does XP for that matter without a whole heap of frigging around.
also, i could never get a decent picture from anything except my xbox360, and the only thing that works with that is windows media centre (XP or vista). it'd be fine if i was using an LCD monitor, but i'm using a CRT part time and an HD DLP projector, so i need to be able to switch from SD to HD easily, and to have decent picture when running to the CRT and the xbox really was the only thing that gave me that - by a country mile.
i'd ditch the lot and get myself a topfield 7000pvrt if i knew then (ie. 3-4mths ago) all that i know now. 1/2 the price and 1/1000th of the set-up time.

have you tried to see if it detects your tuner if you set your date back to mid nov?
i had mine all working for a good 4-5 weeks, then all of the sudden it stopped on dec 31st. i set the date back and installed a different codec and it worked after *alot* of persuasion yesterday. when i got home today, the xbox360 wouldnt connect. in the end i had to remove the xbox connection and re-set that up all over again.
this business of taking 30mins plus of stuffing around just to watch a tv show after you get home is really really really getting on my nerves, especially when its something that works 1 minute and not the next with zero changes to the system.
wow, i thought the dgtec dh2000 footy was a steaming pile, looks like we have a new contender.
i can only pray that things are *alot* more stable once i start using vista RTM, but my guess is that wont be the case, and there will still be days where the xbox doesnt connect just because it has software PMS.

Mich half your problems will probably be solved in RTM you have to remember there are two more updates to Vista since RC1 its old now and never was super reliable.
As for the CRT thing I am unsure what the picture is like and cannot feel your pain.
I have a 106CM LG plasma, 1 x 19" Asus LCD and a 19" Polyview LCD hooked up to my HTPC
I have found the waf to be at its peak with vista compared to MCE2005
it was fine if 2005 did something stupid while i was here but when I wasnt!!! oh dear!!!
Only issues I've had thus far in RTM is a lack of RAM, I'm running 512MB so I'll put a 1 gig stick in it soon. The guide was a royal pain in the arse to set up to, I couldn't get the keepkey service running but that's all good now.
really good to hear that people are finding RTM is running smoothly.
fingers crossed for a much smoother running vista MCE in 2007.
