Twinhan VisionPlus card in Vista

Hi, I'm having some troubles getting my VisionPlus card working in Vista (32 bit) and was looking for some information from people who have got it working.

If I install TwinhanDTV with the WDM drivers I can get TwinhanDTV to scan for channels (and it finds them) but when I try to play a channel I get a 'Failed to load filters!' error message. I've tried manually registering to filters that come with it with regsvr32 but the error still comes up. Media Centre doesn't detect the card with these drivers installed.

I've tried using the official BDA drivers and MC detects the card but Vista will constantly freeze until I uninstall them.

I then tried the 'search online' for drivers from MS and the drivers it downloaded didn't work with MC or TwinhanDTV.

So basically I'm after someone who has got it working that can tell me which drivers and which software they are using.

Thanks.

Re: Twinhan VisionPlus card in Vista

i am running one old vision plus PCI card and a newer Mini profile Twinhan PCI tuner
I had both of them working straight off the bat with the windows drivers but updated BDA drivers off the twinhan site because my zoom settings just didnt work properly untill i did.
Basicly I have had no issues that you are talking about sorry mate

i am using VMC

Yep same here. No issues.

Went to device manager, installed each driver from the CD one by one and then restarted. Went to media centre and set up TV and all is working.

Do not install the DTV application; it interferes with Vista because it is incompatible. I made this same mistake like you. I love Twinhan. What is that failed filters anyway?

Re: Twinhan VisionPlus card in Vista

I have tried to get the Twinhan card working and all seems OK but Vista media centre then says it cannot detect a tuner card.

Make Sure You Are Using the BDA driver not the WHQL one that is bundled with twinhans software
