Hopefully someone might have some advice re the following.
Just installed Vista RC2 - and ran the update (which seemed to include a DVICO driver).
Then loaded the media centre, did the usual scan - and it found 43 channels - which is great.
Trouble is, when you then go to live TV, only two work (7 & 9) while the others have sound (but the picture is just stuck).....thought maybe reception, but i've had no trouble prior to Vista when using the USB tuner on FusionHDTV in the XP days.
Would anybody have an idea what might be happening?
What is this update you speak of here, cuz I am unable to find any channels with my RC2 install... Just scans and finds nothing (with the vista drivers from the Fusion website and DVB-t Plus cards).
As for your frozen video, have you tried alternative DVD decoders? I always found you get big performance differences with different decoders... I always found DScaler5 to work best for me.

G'day.
When loading up Vista for the first time, I didn't install any of the Dvico drivers - and left it as an unknown device.
Then I went to 'Update Windows' and noticed that one of the 'recommended updates' was Dvico Tuner.
Downloaded it, got the tuner to recognise, it tuned the channels perfectly - but will then only display two of them.
Can't explain what's going on with the rest.
I won't be buying Dvico tuners again (believe it or not, its gotten further in Vista than it ever did in MCE).
Actually I found what my problem was with the Vista Fusion drivers. For some reason I was led to the URL for the normal Fusion 3.41 software where it states that it "Supports Vista".
However what I didn't notice that on the front page there is another link with instructions for installation of the Vista drivers. What a Berk!
Works quite well now, picked up all 29 channels... Problem is, it is jumpy whereas MCE 2005 is only jumpy for SBS where I live. Tried a few DVD Decoders but had no luck.
I always used DScaler5 as a DVD Decoder in MCE 2005. Nobody ever mentions it, but it was by far the most stable decoder for me. However it doesn't seem to work with Vista.
