Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

just tried it, but no had to reboot again whilst installing the drivers for me. second time was a charm. no noticable performance difference. but they added a few most custom resolutions. unfortunately not the ones i can do 1:1 pixel mapping on my mce.

anyone found a hack to do custom resolutions/timings ?? I know the driver doesnt support it.

Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

It's been my experience (and from what I've read others' on this site), that despite there being no tv-out screens, component is enabled by default. Just go to the standard Windows resolution screen to change the resolution of the output (I'm doing 720x576 50hz interlaced - they call it 25hz interlaced).

Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

these drivers has the same issue as the original windows ones where TV in mce is jittery/jerky, however when i tried the RC1 drivers, that fixed the issue, go figure!

Im using a 6600 gt and fusionhdtv with the latest 3.41 driver.

Yep I agree, the RC1 drivers work better for me in both MCE and Games.

In MCE the screen is jittery or flashes white and games get run time errors on my 6800GS.

I had no prob's at all (other than lack of controls/features) with the RC1 drivers.

/rolls back

Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

I am thinking of trying Windows XP drivers with Vista - are there any reports of success doing this?

More specifically the latest XP MCE drivers, 91.47 or the latest ForceWare/PureVideo HD beta driver: 92.91.

I am not playing games - Would this work?

Re: Nvidia WHQL driver for RC2 and higher now available

Hi,

I upgraded my machine from RC1 -> RC2 with a 6600gt/hdmi/720p setup. And found the new drivers supplied automatically by Microsoft work really well. These new default drivers allowed me to do all the inbetween resolutions on HDMI (so I can now do the 1166x6XX res I needed for my TV to not lose bits of the screen). I never had any luck with NVidias own drivers (havent tried rc2 nvidia ones).

Niall
