RC2 multiple tuners

well i thought i would give RC2 a go today and was quite impressed with the overall build quality.

the big let down was the fact that i could not get more than 1 of my 3 dvico fusion plus cards running at the same time. all were detected OK and when i ran the tv setup with 1 installed i could scan channels and setup the guide etc. live tv viewed ok with just 1 card installed / enabled.

as soon as i tried multiple cards i would get no tv signal messages etc.

is anyone else with multiple dvico or other DVB tuners experiencing this at all?

No problems here with 2 Dvico lite cards in my second machine. If you are using the pass through mode on the cards, signal strength could be an issue!

Re: RC2 multiple tuners

No just using a 3 way splitter before the cards. I don't have any signal strength problems in MCE2005.

Did you guys install the FusionHDTV app or just use the Vista driver download?

I installed the application, then disabled it from startup, then installed the Vista driver on all the tuner devices in device manager.

Re: RC2 multiple tuners

I am having the same issue I think, does it sit there for a while before if says no signal? It will be ok one day, then next day half my recordings are stuffed. The recordings are there but they can not be played, comes up with Video error, and preview window is ether blank or white with what looks to be red interlaced / corupted text at the top!

Re: RC2 multiple tuners

I think what it comes down to is that dvico seem to have really slipped as far as quality goes. I remember that they used to be the best card on the market but it looks as though the market has gone and overtaken them. I put a Digital Now dual tuner card in a machine the other day and was amazed at how good it was. Time to start looking at the alternatives I think.
