Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

Hi All,

I have recently installed Windows Vista and am trying to get my Dvico DVB-T Plus to work. I have downloaded the beta drivers from this site and can install 2 of the unknown devices in device manager but there is 3 others left on the list.

The first 2 thats install ok automatically picked the right driver from where i told it to (i chose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" and then went to have disk and pointed to where i extracted the beta drivers.

The other 3 when i do this it brings up a whole list of ones i can chose and dont know what one to choose?

I chose one of them on the list and it began installing but the my computer just rebooted due to incorect drivers

Anyone had any luck installing this card on vista?

any help would be great!

Thanks

Jason

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

Here are the name of the Drivers you need to run the Card i hope this helps. I am running Dvico lite but the drivers are similar.

FusionHDTV, BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod (T7579+MT352)
FusionHDTV, BDA Receiver Component (DVB-T) This one came down off Windows Update Centre
FusionHDTV, WDM Crossbar (Tuner only)
FusionHDTV, WDM DVB-T TvTuner (T7579+MT352)
FusionHDTV, WDM Video Capture (PAL)

Hey Jason,

Have a look at my post - http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...ble-still.html

I had a very similar issue.

Do you have a black dvico remote (purple buttons)? If so, have you got it working yet?

Cheers
Liam

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

i just had the same problem. changed the "decoder option" to VMR Renderer" within the software. then while in device manager, Sound Video and Game Controllers" I tried updating the driver for the "FusionHDTV DVB-T AVS Video Capture". pointed it to the vista drivers that i had downloaded and after installing the drivers it asked for and scanned for TV chanels. I could see a TV picture (no sound) and windows shut the TV application down. I re-booted and launched the fusion software. got an access error. launched the TV and the "FusionHDTV Application has stopped working" and windows shut it down. I also got a message that media centre closed and that the bug would be fixed in the final release, how comforting!

so to be clear, i installed the 3.41 app (all 50.1Mb). when it asked for drivers i said NO. latter on in device manager i updated the driver with the vista drivers and i momentarily got a picture.

Cheers
Robert

all this on Vista build 5386 on a P1.6Ghz with 768Mg ram with a gigabyte 6200 Video card. I am surprised to see aero is working.

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

well i gotta say other than not being able to get the EPG going in vista yet, its never crashed on me, or showed any sign of instability. Im loving it. Apart from the DVICO drivers being a little dumb when installing and haveing to manually correct them, i cant fault it yet.

amd x2 3800
asus a8n32-sli dlx
antec neohe-500
xfx 7900gt xxx extreme
creative x-fi
corsair twinx2048-3500llpro
dvico fusionhdtv t1
seagate 320gig 7200.10
seagate 300gig 7200.8

HD is gorgeous. TV playback appear a lot smoother to me in Vista MCE. IMO.

If someone could help me with the EPG in vista my world would be perfect.

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

Hey h4rb1ng3r

Can you tell me what EPG solutions you have tried thus far in Vista?

I'm thinking of upgrading to Vista to have a play around but will return to 2005 if I can't solve the EPG question...

I'm currently using Bladerunner\OzTivo on 2005 but have used several in my time...

Ive only bothered trying the bladerunner\oztivo that i was using in 2005, with no luck in vista.

I havent spent the time to find the other solutions ppl have been talking about that some say are working. :P

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

Hey Guys,

Are you using the Dvico remote or the MS one? (*Edit - with the dvico dvb-t plus card)

If Dvico - how the hell did you get it working? Mine just won't! I really miss the ugly black/purple bugger and getting up to manual change the channel is well, so old school

Cheers

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

I have installed Vista RC1 on another partition to play around with. I have a dvico dual which vista installed the pci drivers itself with no probs and I manually pointed it to the usb drivers which seemed to get both tuners working in vista mce. I then uninstalled all of them and pointed them at the vista drivers now I am down to 3 devices from 5 in device manager and one of them says (unknown function)!

Both tuners still appear to be working and amazingly my dvico remote now appears to be working again without me touching anything else! If I can just get the EPG working I might swap over for a bit as I can now watch HD channels in Vista where they dont work in MCE2005 for some reason...

Re: Help! Dvico DVB-T Plus + Windows Vista Drivers

I have made my first foray into the Vista world (long time MCE 2005 user) and have failed at the final hurdle.

That is, the Dvico DVB-T Plus card.

I have installed Vista RC2. The drivers for RC1 on the Dvico website install no problems and Media Center recognises that I have two tuners (both DVB-T plus) but when I get to the scanning stage it finds nothing. I've also installed the Dvico drivers on this sites download section with no luck (same issue).

So my question is, has anyone had any luck with RC2 and DVB-T Plus?

Perhaps I should try installing RC1 at this stage?
