Just letting you know there is a new beta version (6165) of the realtek drivers available for Vista.
To date my main annoyance with using Vista was Realtek dragging their heels in releasing a decent driver... But they've seem to have really come through with this revision. Sound has greatly improved, to the point where it seems 100% perfect (no cracks, pops, stutters etc yet).
So if you're having problems download and try them out!
Cheers,
Matt.

What's the URL that you're using? I can only find 5298 (of their High Definition Audio drivers at least) on the Realtek site.

Does the latest Realtek driver do proper SPDIF pass through (Dobly\DTS)?
I ask because the driver that comes with Vista (5728) only sends a stereo signal through SPDIF
Update:
Ok i tried the driver and and it does indeed do proper SPDIF pass through!
