digital TV stutter

I noticed when running Vista Media Center that TV doesn't stutter as much. It seems as if Vista stretches out what video it has if there is a loss of data. So instead of sudden stops and starts in MCE2005 the Vista experience is less jarring.

If this is a new feature I think it's great - stuttering is easily the worst feature of digital TV. It could just be the MPEG decoder I was using.

PS If anyone can solve my problem with my Winfast DTV1000 cards (post in this forum) please do so!

Cheers
