Virtual CD/DVD in RC1

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has had any success getting a virtual CD/DVD driver (such as Daemon Tools) working in Vista RC1

I've tried Daemon Tools and a number of others without success.

Has anyone got something working??

Scott

Re: Virtual CD/DVD in RC1

Think I've solved my own problem. I've been using Virtual Clone Drive and it seems to be behaving itself.

http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

It also seems to be free.

Cheers,

Scott

Re: Virtual CD/DVD in RC1

Daemon Tools works.

But only an old version.

Download version 3.33

Run msconfig -> tools -> disable UAP
reboot
Install

Re: Virtual CD/DVD in RC1

Good news, Daemon tools version 4.06 was released yesterday and it works under RC1 and there is an X64 version as well. Prior to this I'd been using Virtual clone drive from Slysoft however it's only a 21 day eval (but it did work )

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Matt.
