Vista TV Tuner Recommendations

Hi I'm i the process of building a new PC to be used for running Vista MCE. What I would like to know is what tuner card are people using that works under Vista. My only requirement is HDTV, so firstly what are people using and what would you recommend if you were buying a tuner for the first time.

Re: Vista TV Tuner Recommendations

I'm using a DigitalNow TwinDVB-T Receiver and it works brilliantly in MCE 2005. I believe other people on the forums have got them working on Vista using the standard drivers as well (wife won't let me try Vista on the main MCE box, so I've got one of the external TinyUSB DVB-T tuners on order to try with Vista as it uses the same drivers).

DigitalNow TwinDVB-T Receiver

As long as you have a free USB header on the motherboard of your PC it's simple to install. And they work fine with HD TV (I use it for streaming to an XBox 360 hooked up to the LCD TV in the lounge room).

Re: Vista TV Tuner Recommendations

I have two digital hd tuners, one of them is a cheapie vstream - works perfect under vista using diginow drivers. The other is a ultraview (dvico fusion), also working fine. Was way too easy for me.

I would suggest a dual tuner instead of two seperate ones like me, but make sure it is supported first!
