Re: Adelaide EPG Queries

Hi Kevin,

have a look at Bladerunner . During install you pick where you're from and it will create the local files for you.

Cheers

Bladerunner is excellent, a couple of minor quirks in setting up but works like a charm, i therefore am at a loss why so much time is expended on TVHarvest and the like

Re: Adelaide EPG Queries

Glad to hear it went well Kevin.

Bladerunner is an installer and configurator for TVHarvest and Quickguide. It hides all the painful stuff and does it all for you. It's very new and not many people have started using it yet. It even makes your scheduled EPG updates easy as all you need is to put the Bladerunner executable as a scheduled task and it will take care of the rest for you.

Regarding the install quirks...post your experience in the Bladerunner thread and I'm sure Bladerunner will address any little problems and make it even better.

Cheers

Sambooka

Re: Adelaide EPG Queries

You need to go in to the settings and assign each of the channels the appropriate stream of data that has been downloaded. eg Assign Channel 2 guide data to chanel 2, assign ABC2 data to chanel 21, Chanel 7 data to Chanel 7, etc.

Re: Adelaide EPG Queries

I have been away for a week or so and have just been trying to run bladerunner....
It does not download the guide, it looks to grab the guide for each day but does not download the guide....the screen remains blank apart from " grabbing 20050810" ect...

Any ideas.....

From the Bladerunner-Monster thread

Go to c:\windows\ehome\bladerunner\tvharvest
open the TVHarvest.exe.config file with notepad (or similar)
change the exsting http://tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/closeup/default to
http://tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/cu/default

save it on exit and run bladerunner

Re: Adelaide EPG Queries

Wick05,

This has been picked up on several other threads... I think pistnbroke first found the fix...

Go to Windows /ehome/bladerunner/tvharvest and edit TVHarvest.exe.config - all you need to do is change closeup to cu in the url and it'll be fixed.

i.e.

tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/closeup/default....etc. etc. to
tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/cu/default.....etc. etc.

Looks like Kevvie and I went at it at the same time... good one Kevvie

Good luck,

frenzz.
