Adelaide EPG

To say I am frazzled is an understatement. I apologise if I am going over old ground but I have spent the last 4 hours going thru various thread to no avail. My problem is I can not seem to get the EPG to work in MCE.

I have installed Bladerunner V3 pro and Freexmltv 4.0 and they appear to be working fine. However when setting up the TV guide listing in MCE it says

'Status: Downloading this may take a few minutes' I guess 30 minutes is too long????

I have used 0000 as the postcode.

I have the firewall off and I have a Toshiba G30 with the digital tuner operating. I receive the channels 10/10. But no EPG. Please help my sanity depends upon it.

Re: Adelaide EPG

Hi dj

Not sure if anyone has helped you or whether i'll be able to. If you look at the following, it mentions you can't use the 0000 postcode anymore, perhaps you might like to get in contact with the poster of this thread.

Thanks
Tim

Re: Adelaide EPG

I have used 0000 for the postcode and all is working fine (here in Adelaide). I'm using Bladerunner 3 and FreeXMLtv.

Re: Adelaide EPG

Sounds like the same problem. From what I researched, when I have the time I will be trying the older version of Bladrunner with the FreexmlTv 4.0.

I think it might be a conflict with the pro version of BR. I'll let you know if I have any luck.

Re: Adelaide EPG

Try a bit of this action here

http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/articles/487537.aspx

and here's another

http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/81418.aspx

it would seem from reading these posts, that it is something to do with port numbers, firewalls, and possible some software blocking certain internet stuff like https:, but only after findling does it somehow work again, even though nothing has changed.

despite that i have turned off firewalls, virus checkers and spyware detectors it doesn't seem to have resolved much for me.

will try it again one more time, maybe i wasn't thorough enough with my investigation

let me know if you have any luck from your side

Thumbs up Re: Adelaide EPG

g day guys, im in the city of churches and i have it working. but it took me a while hours of reading other posts. it didn't work till i set bladerunner / freexmltv up properly. have you tryed removing it and deleting bladerunner from ehome and starting again. i had to do this after getting roll up2 and after getting a new video card. if you have tried this then it might be something in your configurator/setup. you have got freexml 4.9?? and all available updates. good luck
