Angry EPG Error

Hi all...

I have freexmltv 3.1 and bladerunner pro3 installed on my MCE machines...

Has been working fine up until the last coulple of days...??

Today it will not download the data ..?? I noticed it says if your downloads are not working check ninemsn.tvguide.com.au i did this and there are no lisings for adelaide... geeezzz

Does this mean that freexmltv and blade runner still uses the data from ninemsn... I thought installing freexmltv etc was supposed to fix this problem????

If not is there another free grabber that fixes the ninemsn thing once and for all?? Thi

Doesn't matter which grabber you use because if there is no data to grab... well it ain't going to work, no matter how many times you bang your head against the wall....

For future reference if you can't see Guide data by manually going to http://tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/ selecting your area, then your grabber is not going to see it either.

If you want something more reliable I suggest you pay someone to provide it as a service and check out IceTV.

Cheers,

Matt.

Exclamation Re: EPG Error

Hmm paying for a Tvguide that should be free... nope not going to have it...

I was under the belief that freexmltv was acutally a site that provided a free guide to everyone was not aware that it was till using ninemsn... So does the descriptions come from ninemsn as well?? Wonder who the people are that are responsible for updating ninemsn...

They must do it on purpose for different areas every now and then just to **** people off.... Weird if you go to todays tv you can see all the areas...

Maybe this could be added to the grabber to check a second source e.g. the todays tv etc just incase the original source isint there .... as is the case now...

Not sure how hard this would be but makes sence to me......

Re: EPG Error

NineMSN is not the only source of data available. One of the moderator team, Monster, was kind enough to write another grabber which grabs data from oztivo for those who don't like NineMSN or for when it's not working.

Check it out here.
