EPG Software for Windows XP

Hi all. I've searched and searched on the net but I'm getting nowhere and need help!!!

I need to know what software to use to be able to grab EPG info for free to air and hopefully foxtel.

I keep seeing xmltv stuff, but I'm not making much progress. Does anyone have a step by step procedure?

I eventually want to import the data into Xlobby, which uses XML.

Thanks all

Re: EPG Software for Windows XP

I'm not sure of any for online (I use either Teletext or PVR EPG) but did you try BladeRunner or XMLTV? Check out around the forum and see what you can dig up.

Cheers.

Have a look at FREE*EPG it works with XP MCE. I think they will have a foxtel guide soon.

Re: EPG Software for Windows XP

gidday,
you can try free epg New !! - Free EPG Intitiative Launched or epgrunner http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...ight=epgrunner
the free epg requires you to register with them..both free epg and epgrunner are very easy to install.

Re: EPG Software for Windows XP

The oztivo grabber creates a XML file that can be imported into many programs.

I use oztivo and bladerunner for Windows XP MCE. I added a postprocess step that copies the oztivo output file to another directory on my home network. Then I use that file to feed EPG data to GB-PVR and Media Portal (I like to play!!).

Media Portal has a manual XML option and expects the file to be called TVGuide.xml (hence the postprocess step renames the file) while GB-PVR allows you to name the file.

All you need is the oztivo grabber, setup a scheduled task to get the EPG data and share it between multiple systems.
