I need some portable hefty storage, so I am getting myself a 400GB 3.5" HDD and want to put it in an external enclosure. It has to have USB2, firewire is completely optional and will probably never be used anyway. It would be nice if it could be host powered though every one of these I have seen in 3.5" size require external power supplies, so I don;t know if such a beast exists.

Other than that, it would be good to know if there are any of these which support spinning down the drive when it is not in use, or any other recommendations anyone can make.
