Just noticed in my junk mail tonight - DSE Powerhouse has the wireless 360 steering wheel with game for $199.76 - sounds like a xmas present there..... for myself! (I had not realised they were available in Aus as yet)

I completely second this...maybe throw in the new KB as well (It comes with a Headset), get an (Elite pack) of Accesories .

I need a new game...they seem to be coming down in price (Saw them in Oz now for $60 odd in some store catalogues (I hope PS3 purchasers are noticing) Although Gold subscription is still the cost of a game on 360 where it is currently free on PS3.

Was flipping through a JB catalogue yesterday, and saw they have the Xbox Live gold starter pack (12 months, headset, some points) listed for $69. normally $100+

in case anyone (else) has been umming and ahhing about getting Live (like me :P)

you could always sign up on your box and get the Free month of gold first to see if you like it remember you only need gold if you wanna play multi-player games, Silver lets you access marketplace and chat, etc

Did ou get this? Saw you playing Gears of War on Hardcore today...L3 I think...I just restarted playing on Hardcore and have yet to kill the big baddie. Hardcore is really hard on a smaller screen.

Its also bloody hard on a 56" screen, your looking all over the place.

Yep, got it... sweet action... the only people i have actually (tried to) talk to using the mike thus far have been:
-some random american southerner, on the first day i got it (was a decent game, did an Act and a half)
-some japanese guy (no lingo, no good)
-and last night there was an (i think) chinese/malay guy, who kept screaming something that i assume was an expletive everytime he died.

Gears level for me = whatever game i can join into, just playing as Dom randomly until i find someone that wants to try and play through insane, and trying to get the Dom achievements... have a feeling that wretches at insane mode are going to cause me to break stuff around the home, though.

oh, and @supafly... it looks awesome on my 42".... wanna swap? :P

It looks awesome for me too, just difficult having to look all over the screen to see who to kill.
