Xbox 360 "No TV Signal"

I have just setup an Xbox 360 over an ethernet network connecting to my MCE2005 box. The setup was very easy and the Xbox connects every time. I can see the Media centre menu on the xbox and seee cd collection, recorded TV, TV guide and so on. The problem is if I try to watch live TV or recorded TV, I get the "No TV Signal". Because I get it on recorded TV, I don't think it is an antenna problem. I record it HDTV and the Xbox is connected as annolog. The MCE box works fine!

cheers
Mark

Re: Xbox 360 "No TV Signal"

Out of frustration I called Xbox support and they told me that you can not use an Xbox360 to endtend from a MCE2005 box if it records in DVR-MS format. I explained that I didn't think you could change the format.
Out of frustration I installed Vista on the box and made is duel boot. The Xbox360 works perfectly as a media centre extender. So my problem is something is wrong with my MCE2005 install. I have applied all patches.
any ideas??

Re: Xbox 360 "No TV Signal"

Xbox support is incorrect, the Xbox360 can play DVR-MS(recorded TV) files from MCE 2005 or Vista

Re: Xbox 360 "No TV Signal"

Well I am convinced that my Xbox360 works and the problem is in my MCE2005 install. My install seems to work well for everything else and all updates are applied. Can any body give me any clue on what I could test or look at on my MCE2005 box to find the problem, as I really don't want to have to do a clean install.

thanks
